Day 4 was a very special day for us. We went to Santa Clara, where Alex lived for four years when he was younger. He hadn’t been back in 15 years! But first stop, Santa Cruz.
Day 3 of the roadtrip may have been our favourite day for us both. At the end of the Day 2 we drove to Carmel-by-the-Sea to sleep at a gorgeous little inn. We woke up early and enjoyed the day in Carmel and Monterey!
After a night in San Luis Obispo (where we ordered pizza and fell asleep at 8 p.m. – jet lag is real), we started off day 2 of our roadtrip in Morro Bay.
In November we went on an amazing holiday in California! We were there for nine days, landed in L.A. and drove all the way up to San Francisco, stopping at beautiful places along the way. We had such a wonderful time – enjoy the photos!
This morning Sophie and I thought we could kill two birds with one stone: explore Kennedy Town (a strong candidate in our list of places we want to live next) and test out the new GoPro! Result is below, enjoy!
This afternoon I decided to enjoy the sunshine and do the short walk from Deep Water Bay to Repulse Bay. Lots of pretty views – enjoy the photos 🙂
This weekend we had the pleasure of showing Alex’s dad around Hong Kong 🙂 On Saturday we took the Star Ferry from Central to Tsim Sha Tsui, then walked up Nathan Road all the way to Mong Kok and the Ladies’ Market. Enjoy the photos!
This weekend we decided to enjoy the gorgeous weather and tick something off our list of touristy must-dos: Ngong Ping village and the Big Buddha! Its proper name is the Tian Tan Buddha but Big Buddha is pretty fitting too.
This weekend we decided to take advantage of the last few days of Summer (although I doubt it’ll get cold until December!) and go to the beach. Repulse Bay is a really famous beach and we’d heard good things so we decided to head there for our first beach experience in HK.
This weekend we decided to go enjoy the beautiful views of HK from the Peak – a viewing platform overlooking the bay and Kowloon. We also had yummy food there at Bubba Gump 🙂 Enjoy the photos!
Last Sunday evening we were fortunate enough to be invited on a really fun boat ride to Lamma Island (thank you Sarah!!). There was a dozen of us on the boat, enjoying drinks and snacks as well as the amazing views of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
Last weekend we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and go on our first hike in Hong Kong. We chose the Dragon’s Back trail from Chai Wan to Shek O as it seemed one of the easiest to get to while still offering amazing views.
