Early January we decided to tackle a pretty tough hike that promised some stunning views. We got the ferry to Mui Wo on Lantau Island and climbed Sunset Peak – the third highest peak in Hong Kong!
We celebrated NYE in Hong Kong for the first time! Our friend Veronique invited us to Azure in Lan Kwai Fong for a lovely dinner, drinks and dancing 🙂 Here’s a short video:
December has been a really nice month in Hong Kong, with milder temperatures and sunny days. This month we explored Macau for an afternoon, enjoyed the beach at Deep Water Bay and discovered Hong Kong Park and its amazing aviary.

This weekend we decided to enjoy the gorgeous weather and tick something off our list of touristy must-dos: Ngong Ping village and the Big Buddha! Its proper name is the Tian Tan Buddha but Big Buddha is pretty fitting too.
This weekend we decided to take advantage of the last few days of Summer (although I doubt it’ll get cold until December!) and go to the beach. Repulse Bay is a really famous beach and we’d heard good things so we decided to head there for our first beach experience in HK.
